Featured Offering: Intercultural Development Inventory

The Intercultural Development Inventory ® (IDI®) which assesses intercultural competence—the capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behavior to cultural differences and commonalities – and takes participants on a deeply personal journey of discovery about their own culture and beyond.

The session includes:

·        Individual access to the assessment for each participant,

·        Introductory, interactive Intercultural Competency training,

·        A group IDI debrief conducted by an experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practitioner,

·        An individual IDI debrief and review of the Individual Development Plan (IDP®).

The workshop and group debrief occur in the same 3-hour session The individual debriefs will occur over the following 4-6 weeks depending on the number of participants.

The IDP® provides a longer-term opportunity for individuals to deeply reflect on their Developmental Orientation, their own cultural identities, and the foundations thereof as well as developing curiosity and appreciation of additional cultural identities


Introductory Offerings

Introduction to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: 1 hour presentation introducing the basic tenets of DEI and their implication in professional contexts.

Intercultural Awareness and Sensitivity: 1-hour session, with available tailored follow-ups, to provide foundational information about culture, dignity, and how to effectively create atmospheres that are welcoming for all cultures and identities.

Engaging Diverse Communities: 1-hour session, with available tailored follow-ups, to develop successful tools to build staff capacity in earning and maintaining trust and engagement with diverse identifying communities

Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution: 1- or 2-hour session focusing on the impact of the words we use and how we use those words to deescalate difficult situations and resolve negative conflict.  Participants will develop tools and methods to make communication intentional and thoughtful while identifying and moving towards common goals


Intermediate and Advanced Offerings

Individual Coaching: In-depth one-on-one directed engagement dedicated to deeper exploration of individual topics, learning, and development around a variety of topics from DEI and Cultural Competency to Communication and Community Engagement

C-Suite/Senior Leadership Team Coaching: 2-hour Group coaching session for leadership teams to identify organizational goals and develop a DEI, Cultural Competence or Civil Rights compliance action plan tailored to the needs of the organization

Civil Rights Review: For those who have federal and/or state Civil Rights responsibilities, this review helps organizations understand the impacts of existing policies and structures and if necessary, how to reconceptualize and implement new policies to eliminate barriers

Diverse Recruitment and Retention Strategies (Coaching): Each session will focus on building capacity of participants around recognizing and removing barriers, climate concerns and addressing policies that may negatively impact diverse staff performance, satisfaction, and retention.

C-Suite/Senior Leadership Team Coaching: 2-hour Group coaching session for C-Suite/Senior Leadership teams to identify organizational goals and develop an action plan to make tangible impact on organizational culture and development.

Intergroup Dialogue: An in-depth 7 session/14-hour training on developing dialogue skills using 4 stages of engagement and building deeper understanding of how race, ethnicity, and culture impact how individuals engage with the world and how the world engages with them. Each stage includes activities and opportunities to process personal experiences and barriers that may hinder development.  IGD requires at least 5, but no more than 10 participants and representative diversity.
